What a match

Seems like everyone from League A who didn't qualify outright goes into the playoffs, joined by highest placed teams from League B and teams from League C.
So unless you top your League A group and qualify outright, a lot more football to be played.
Although finishing 2nd or 3rd in your League A group means you are seeded in the playoffs and could make the difference between qualifying via the playoffs or going into around round(!) of (inter-confederation) playoffs.

Two rounds of home-and-away knockout matches will be held during the international windows in October 2026 and November–December 2026.
  • Round 1: Thirty-two teams will advance from the league phase and be drawn into two paths to compete 7–13 October 2026.
    • Path 1: The runners-up and third-place teams from League A will be drawn against the group winners and two best-ranked runners-up from League C. The League A teams will be seeded and host the second legs of their respective ties.
    • Path 2: The fourth-place teams from League A and the group winners from League B will be drawn against the runners-up and third-place teams from League B. The fourth-place League A teams and League B group winners will be seeded and host the second legs of their respective ties.
  • Round 2: Sixteen teams will advance from Round 1. The winners from Path 1 will be drawn against the winners from Path 2 to compete 26 November – 5 December 2026. The Path 1 winners will be seeded and host the second legs of their respective ties. The winners will be sorted based on their overall league ranking, with the top seven winners qualifying for the Women's World Cup, and the lowest-ranked winner advancing to the inter-confederation play-offs.

Into the playoffs, as 3rd place finisher in a League A group they will be seeded. I think they will be one of the top 7 seeds.
 
It must have been some ' friendly' between USA and Brazil ladies....Four Brazilian players and four staff were sent off in injury time....that's what you call an exciting end to a friendly game...
 
Anyone know where to watch Leinster vs The Bulls tomorrow (apart from Croker, as this crock can't do the travel bit)? On the telly would be great.

It's only on Premiere Sports (Sky/ NowTV / Virgin) or streaming on URC.tv as far as I know.
 
Big win for Clare over Dublin yesterday....
Sets up ' what should be ' a mouth watering clash with Limerick...
At this stage it is going to be a big big win for Cork over an Offaly team who simply didnt have a chance....
And so it finished....a big win for for Cork....the score line doesn't matter really

Congratulations to the Wee County deserved 3 point victors over Monaghan, having played with a young sub keeper (late change) and 14 men for > 90% of the game. 1957 is an awfully long time ago; their last semi appearance I think.
 
Congratulations to Galway on a brilliant hurling display yesterday. They had the will, tactics and determination to overcome a fancied Cork squad. No ifs and buts from me, Galway had their homework done and the word “defeat” was not in their vocabulary as they took the field. It was hurling like it should be played. Honest, manly and fast. The West’s Awake, the West’s Awake!

. . . and for anybody who wants to know, I had already booked my train ticket for the final. No matter who is involved I always attend the All Ireland Hurling Final.

What a win for Limerick over a very good Clare team who just fell short to a brilliant team.

Heartbreak for Clare, they gave it all.

Thankfully the penalty resulted in a goal otherwise the refereeing would have been blamed on ruining the game. The black card needs an overhaul. Intended to penalise for cynical fouling in scoring opportunities as I understand it, yet a yellow card was shown because the Clare player was not in 'possession' of the sliotar at the time of contact.

Then its debatable if the foul was an actual penalty. Looked outside the box area to me.
 
The only thing I think about the penalty penalty been given is that the whistle was blown before the ball ended up in the net . But surely when he gave the penalty the goalkeeper should have been sent off....in my opinion
 
Not one of the better All Ireland's it's fair to say.
Credit to a big powerful Limerick team though.. they had way too much power and skill for Galway today. Well done to Limerick and it just wasn't to be for Galway..
 
Congratulations to Limerick, fair play, great performance, but a poor enough match. Has everyone else gone backwards in the last 10 years, or are they that good? Answers please on the back of a winning EuroMillions ticket Who else but the wonderful Cranberries after the presentation.
