Sure we are a client of the Eu as well, what's the difference ?. We can enjoy all the access and benefits of NI without having to pay for it. Including a decent element of security.

Below is the top of the list of defence spending of European countries ordered from lowest to highest as a %age of GDP. (letters indicate formally defended by another country). We are top (or bottom depend on how you look at this) of this list by a long way. No wonder we can afford to host the Ryder Cup. On the other hand the low %age of GDP may in part be caused by leprechaun economical statistics.

There should be nothing stopping the EU, and other nations worldwide, from acting with the same zeal as they did with Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine.

End the EU-Israel trade agreement.
Boycott, Disinvest and Sanctions.
Irish navy, and other Europeans to escort the Sumud Flotilla to break the siege of Gaza.
Stop arming Israel.
Full humanitarian access allowed to flow unhindered.
IDF to be targeted if they try to interfere.
Israel to be banned from sporting competitions like WC qualifiers and other major cultural events.

Naziyahoo and his psychotic cabinet, to be brought before international courts for his crimes.

So there you have it, sanctions will not work let alone a proposal to curbing ties.

I'm embarrassed to be part of this thing called the EU. As much as it pains me to say it, the Brits were right to get out of it. There is no reason why the economic trade and civil arrangements cannot continue but if this is its political response to genocide then I'd rather have nothing to do with it.

Repeal Maastricht, repeal Lisbon.

As long as you're okay with cuts of 50% to the pay of all State employees, State pensions, welfare and other State services as our economy implodes then crack on.

This is about as insane as it gets - wanted for war-crimes Naziyaho, and his lunatic government are launching "powerful" attacks on Gaza because basically Hamas has no way of finding dead bodies under the rubble without the proper equipment and machinery.

Knowing that Gaza has been levelled over the last two years.

And the EU, US and UK sit back and allow this, providing political cover, finance and weapons to Israel. It is sickening.

Hamas will need to continually provoke Isreal to get them to retaliate and keep it in the news. Same as has been happening for years before Oct 7.

What do you expect from RTE?
They also call it Israel's war on Gaza and when the IDF kill people they don't distinguish between combatants and non combatants.
 
No we are watching the same, however when other main news channels were carrying this yesterday, RTE did not mention the attack on the IDF, they implied it was to do with the return of a body part from a previously recovered hostage. This was on the Six one and nine o clock news yesterday.

The response from Israel was maniac. Some 104 people murdered, some 46 children. Some of whom are reported to have been sleeping in their tent.

Naziyahoo is wanted for war crimes and is carries on with impunity.

Hamas have now said it will delay the return of other bodies.

Total hostages returned by Hamas -

during ceasefires - circa 160
during conflict - circa 5

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise that psycho Naziyahoo and his demonic government are more interested in continuing the genocide.

UK, EU and US have turned over the international order that were built on Western values of democracy and justice following WW2 by providing political cover and military aid for this psycho government.
