Leaseback in Casteljaloux

Hello all,

I am going over to Casteljaloux for a week on the 3rd of June. I would like us perhaps to get together before then if possible. Dont know whether this would suit but maybe somewhere in the centre of dublin?. Weekends would suit me best.

If we had a common approach I think we could exert more pressure on JC, even if we could group together to get a french lawyer to look over the contracts, this would help.

I havent looked at them in a while but issues that jump out are

new restrictions on when we take our weeks holidays
penalties on late payments from our side, looking at www.frenchleaseback.net there seems to be a problem with escalating managment charges.
no final date of completion.

Anyone up for a meeting?

All the best
Ollie

Hello everyone,
Just wondering if another meeting is being arranged and if there is any news from
the recent visit to france.

Visited [broken link removed] tonight and studied the aerial photos of Domaine de Guitard, on inspection the site is as it was on 23rd October 2007 when my wife and I visited the site.
We would be interested in attending any meetings arranged, please let us know.
JC's uninformed e-mails are a nonsense and do not answer specific questions.
Our position on the matter is: We have asked our solicitor to find out, if it is true that the project will not be completed till Spring 2009. If this the case we have instructed her to retrieve our monies inclusive of interest and expenses.

regards

Hi definietly up for meeting Dublin centre is a bit off putting though, but if thats where ye are meeting. One of our group is going over the end of july and will be meeting solicitor over there.Might do a day trip to meet with him togeather.

Hi All,

We are away until the 31 of June we would attend a meeting after this.
Would it not be a better idea if everyone had the same solicitor and it would cut time and costs if there was a class action at this stage i think this is the only way forward.

Hi everyone,
Setting up a venue for a meeting will not suit all, however I suggest the Red Cow Inn on the South side of Dublin or perhaps The North Star hotel in Amiens Street which is directly opposite Connolly Station which I believe wiil be convenient for anyone having to travel from the country. I am thinking perhaps Sunday 13th July 08.
I realise this to be sometime off, but it gives us sufficient time to correspond with each other to be sure of the meet.
It is my suggestion that we give J.C. an ultimatum, that we want our monies returned plus interest plus compensation for our lost three weeks allocated for the 2007 year and our three weeks for the 2008 IF THE COMPLEX IS NOT COMPLETE BY THE END OF AUGUST 2008. I personaly am not prepared to accept another of J.C.'s deadlines that won't be kept, enough is enough.

kind regards

Tom&Viv

Another meeting would be great.

Red Cow Inn, Naas Road, Dublin 12.

Sunday 13th July 2008.

What time? 4pm suit everyone?

Hi all
4pm 13th July @ the red cow will suit us.
We will be there.

Hi there

Just found this forum and very glad I did, we also bought in CJ and are very concerned with what's going on. Will see you in the Red Cow on July 13th at 4pm

will try and make july 13 as well . do any of the solicitors think there is any hope of retrieving money?

Hello All,
We are so glad to have found this forum as we have been fighting this battle on our own for over 2 years. And we are also unfortunately 1 of the victims who have paid in full for their leaseback. We have not received a red rex from jc just empty promises and poorly written emails telling us to " Trust us to Make this happen".We visited Site at easter '07 work was well in progress,we were informed by JC that the chalets would be arriving within 2 weeks and that we would be ready to go by Sept..07 well I think the rest is history, but i have been in contact with D C of france property a number of times as with Madigans who were supposed to be in France last week to finalise contracts? We cannot make Red Cow but we will keep on this forum and we will pass on any info that may help.
Mick and Mir.

Excellent. The more the merrier. Basically, as a group we wish to see this project through to completion, the sooner the better. Keep an eye on this site for details of further meetings.

Found you forum only recently and relieved but sad to hear that there is much concern amongst all investors. We will definitely be at the red cow on 13th July.

Thanks for replying, unfortunately the agent does not seem to be overly helpful in organising this, despite having received 500 euro admin fee. I would be very interested in talking to someone who has dealt with francepropertyfocus [broken link removed] , or even better have purchased in castlejaloux.

Just Back from France and have a plan in mind having spoken to JC. He is to send me the names of all by tomorrow so that as a group we can move on to protect ourselves until the project is complete.
The meeting of the 13th is important so please try to be there.

Regards

Mark

Well done, that sounds hopeful. Looking forward to meeting you on the 13th

Helen

Much appreciated Mark. Hopefully we can all get an update from you regarding progress on site. I think a united front is possibly the only way to gain some leverage in our disputes with JC. Look forward to discussions on Sunday. (if we can negotiate spaghetti junction at the Red Cow roundabout!- took 2 unsuccessful attempts at it the other day!)
