Hi Again,

The articles were company articles governing the operation at Domain de Guitard. Progress is assured but no completion dates given.
Brian is back making contact with clients. JC emailed me his contact details so I suggest you keep the pressure on JC...

I have asked for updates and new photos as I am staying there this Summer....hopefully.

thanks for info glad to hear some progress will try & contact jc & see how much etc. have you signed any contracts or paid over any more money since?

Contracts I believe are coming, having a meeting next week with JC Partner in Dublin as I want to get title at this stage. Lets just say I have no more installments to pay...........so I want legal title asap !!

At this stage you are probably aware of what I have said. The future is looking a little brighter ?

Hi all
Thank god someone is making progress we made contact last week but nothing was said about papers on their way to us we did let jc know how upset people were. Let us know how you get on with your meeting we also have no more to pay.How do you contact the agent in ireland

Hi Careily,

I have sent you a number including mine to your email.

"The developer has now produced the contracts for the land at Castlejaloux and they will be sent to you tomorrow with a full update.

The construction work has advanced and you will receive the details of this in the communication also."

got this e-mail last week but received nothing in post anyone else get anything?

Got the contracts in post ok and had a long chat by phone after a lot of chasing around and being stood up in the middle of dublin you can imagine the hair flying cant you!! so its starting to move along but there is a long way to go yet.

regards careily

got contracts today also so must try & read them over week-end. did they seem ok to you? any news of when they hope to be finished or had they any excuse for the delay?

They plan to build 4 cabins a week and be finished by spring 09 typical of the french they are so slow when it comes to manual labour this was meant to be finished spring 07 I think they should be penalised for every month they are late, you do realise they will put you up if you want to visit we stayed in a beautiful house last year with fabulous views including the golf course

Has everyone been in contact with Brian at this stage? I have heard nothing since I received the contract. Is Brian connected with FrancepropertyFocus?

I would be slow to pay anymore money until concrete :) progress is made. When I was sitting face to face with Jean claude in notaires office in July 07 he assured me that project would be completed by october 07. Even when I questioned this, he was adamant that this would be the case.

There is now the added complication of another leaseback launch is casteljaloux near the lake on the far side of the town. ( www.olivetreeworld.com , search for casteljaloux).

One other thing reading the contract there are stringent penalties on our side for late payment of installments but no mention of firm finishing date. Also it seems to indicate that owners can only take their weeks outside french school holidays. In the original brochure it mentioned anytime outside August for our free weeks. I wont be returning any contracts until I get more information. Anyone heard anything else lately?

Regards
Ollie

Hi Everyone,

I am just delighted to have found others who tried to purchase in this French Property Leaseback Scheme.

The deal I paid the deposit and administration fee for was the one at Domain de Guittard. 84 wooden holiday homes across the road from a lake.

Is anyone else involved with this particular site?

Has anyone paid over the 47,000 for the land yet?

Did anyone get a French solicitor to look into the legal documents?

Could we arrange a time when a few of us would be free to come online and chat about this leaseback scheme?

Thanks for replying, unfortunately the agent does not seem to be overly helpful in organising this, despite having received 500 euro admin fee. I would be very interested in talking to someone who has dealt with francepropertyfocus [broken link removed] , or even better have purchased in castlejaloux.

Hi, For the last year I have been involved in the process of purchasing one of these leaseback properties in Casteljaloux. I am willing to discuss the situation.

Hello I would be interested in having a talk about this. I would be available most evenings. Concerning the leaseback, I haven't done anything since and won't do anything until I get a firm finishing date.

Regards

At this stage I am concerned that this development will not go ahead and I will lose my deposit and admin fee paid. Is anyone available tomorrow evening (Thursday 24th April) at 9 pm to discuss concerns online?

Hello Yes I would be around at nine on thursday, ( tonight ) . It would be good to get a few people together to talk this out.
