Christmas gifts for her?

Surely if giving her money to get her own stuff will make her happy then that is a good thing to do.
My other half has insisted many a time on picking something for me and I end up with really stupid stuff I don't want when the shops are full of stuff I do actually want......seems silly to me.
If you try to be too clever and creative it usually backfires.
