Tubs of Roses - shrinkflation

Rumour has it that most of these boxes came from a guy in Cork, wonder who that was ;), heard you're lying low at moment charlie007 :)

11233......A miniscule number in comparison to the sales I've promoted over the years:):)

And for some reason reminds me of this:

OK I exaggerated a bit, like the Black Knight in Monty Python..............

There off..(no smart comments please:()Quality Street 550g, Celebrations 500g, Heroes 475g and Roses 475g! all €6.50 ClubCard price in Tesco.

These will of course come away down in price, so obviously hold tough. And yeah the new 475g tubs are a new low.

Quality Street 550g are €3.50 (ClubCard price) in Tesco until Sun 11th.
This is a very good price for these so early and they are usually quite long dated.
Also the only 550g tub left (see above)

"Broken chocolate" as we used to call it back in the 70s. A tenner though? What's the weight?

Oh god no idea of the weight, I could find out, it's substantial anyway, their chocolate is so rich you would only be taking one or two a day with a cuppa. Our tenant has a massive sweet tooth and recently discovered the shop, he was like a child coming home with the bag lol, cute x

I have ignored all the "offers" on the tubs of sweets this year including a good one from Tesco. I found myself in Marks and Spencer this morning looking at the bars of chocolate that cost more than a tub of Roses or similar.

I did stock up on the 3 x 4 bars of chocolate for €5 in SuperValu. Aero, Picnic, Lion Bar, Toffee Crisp, Starbar, Boost....mix and match. These have been available in Tesco for some time but the selection was limited.

Looking at the boxes of chocolates in M&S today, these were priced up to €50 for a kilo of sweets.

One thing I have noticed in recent weeks is that Dunnes are not cheap....even with €5 off a €25 spend.

Using vouchers efficiently that's a net price of €2.80 and will almost certainly not be beaten.
It's of course only Quality Street, but they are the best value anyway and as I've mentioned before are usually long dated.

I usually only buy them to include with presents and would always buy Quality Street either way.

They were moving very quickly in Dunnes today so probably best to get them asap before stocks disappear. I think these Christmas deals in Dunnes are very popular especially in light of the voucher.

Not sure about that now who told you that?
The contents labels the manufacturers must put on their products.

I defy anyone to find a commercial, supermarket-sourced "chocolate" product that does not contain sugar of some kind, even those that boast they don't contain palm-oil say "only natural products, including sugar", or similar, e.g. "This is why Pure Notions was created. We stick to the value add ingredients. Cacao Bean, Milk, Sugar, Vanilla and Soya Lecithin. Every ingredient compliments the next and creates an experience like no other. " Pure Notions, Cork - Uh oh, another outfit with an English-language deficit, I'd be confident they meant "complements"

Sugar & carbohydrates = calories

Check this out

Even natural cocoa/cacao contains sugars & carbohydrates, but in tiny amounts
