The Idiot King's take on the French riots

I blame the far left and the far right, both of which are funded by Russia so to a great extent I agree with you than much of this leads back to Russia.
There was a marked drop in bot misinformation directed at the US mid-terms in the aftermath of the Ukraine strikes on the Yandex data centres! I haven't seen a Europe centric impact report, but it's reasonable to assume similar here.

Well its certainly not a student or cost of living revolt as many claim....

The rioting across French is a symptom of a much larger public and political crisis - CNN
French protests

I think the students (and teachers) protests are well documented and as per Wiki can originate as far back as 1990.
Price of fuel and a housing shortage, that with Frances national debt and attempts at reform are certainly core issues in sparking the protests. Protests are spreading across Italy, Albania and other parts of Europe.

The rioters though are a different level and most likely organised, directed and instructed by Valdimir Putin and his Russian war machine.

Would a marked drop in bot misinformation directed at Europe incite riots?

Our Corporation Tax receipts and the fact that we have a significantly more left wing political establishment are the main reason we don't have similar riots.

Multiple research projects have confirmed that the use of misinformation magnifying strong feelings on both extremes significantly increases the likelihood of civil unrest. Significant resources, human and capital are being dedicated to such campaigns, that wouldn't be the case if earlier efforts hadn't borne fruit. We're talking figures in the billions, not small change that's thrown around in the hope some of it pays off.
