The Idiot King's take on the French riots

Its the unison nature of it across Europe that is a bit weird. Almost like they expect a major emergency event(s) to occur in the foreseeable future?
Given the number of cyber attacks across Europe it would be weird if EU countries were not preparing for more attacks. It certainly looks like we are being probed for weaknesses.
If water and electricity networks across Europe were attacked at the same time, along with hospital IT systems, telecommunication infrastructure, traffic management infrastructure, and banking, it would certainly cause a significant amount of disruption. If on the same day a large number of undersea data cables and power lines were blown up and Russia rolled into somewhere like Latvia or Estonia it would certainly reduce the effectiveness of any coordinated military response by EU Countries.

These are just some of the reports over last 2/3 days. It's basically a daily occurrence now.

I don't think it's just coincidence that governments are alerting citizens to 'be ready'. It sounds like to me that it is considered almost inevitable. To what extent the disruption will be is anybody's guess, but the tins of baked beans are a useful start.

Many European countries have been doing this for years, some have been issuing guides since the cold war era. Perhaps it is just Ireland going beyond the iodine tablets of the past that has raised your awareness, and with that media coverage here so you are only assuming this is a new phenomenon?
