We are about to get some painters to quote for a repaint of our kitchen cabinets, island etc. Its a decent size kitchen I suppose and the units are fine just the wood is dark enough so the missus would like to brighten them up and she's right. I have a few questions that perhaps people with experience might be able to help with:
Hand-painted or sprayed kitchen? From telephone conversation with painter he recommends hand-painting but will do either. Is the biggest factor the quality of the paints and the painter or the method? I think I have a preference for a kind of timeless look and from what I have read sprayed gives a more plastic type finish or am I wrong?
Are premium paints such as Farrow & Ball worth the money Vs say a Dulux?
Thanks Blackrock1. I am getting a couple of quotes this week hopefully so will know more on the price then of spray Vs hand paint. Interesting what you say on the premium, are they always worth it for finish? For durability?
Finish for sure, not sure on durability, again depends on the colour and type of paint, we have used benjamin moore throughout the house and the difference in the finish between it and the color trend that was used prior is night and day (our painter was probably better as well to be fair)
