Raisin Products

I am sure that I had circa 30,000 euro in various raisin accounts and now I have circa 20,000 euro

Great advice above. Another suggestion is to look at your statements and say on date xx/xx I had €3x,xxx in my accounts and on date xx/xx I had €2x,xxx in my accounts. Exact dates and exact figures with the dates being as close together as possible. Should be obvious then what happened in between.

I've sorted out my trouble with Raisin Bank, apparently the money that was missing had not been lodged back to my Raisin Aaccount after maturity. I spoke to a very helpful lady by phone and she went through all my recent transactions. Thanks to all who replied to my query, it was greatly appreciated.

But TF Bank previously hiked rates and then dropped the rate back to price matching other Raisin.ie leading instant access rates a few weeks later. Maybe they will do the same tactic again.

I correctly guessed this. TF Bank have dropped their rates again. TF Bank seem to periodically hike their rates to take in more deposits and then drop the rate back.

I had a large term deposit (with Raisin) that finished last week. As I'm not yet sure where the money goes next, so I split it 50/50 between TF Bank and Nordax to stay clear of the DGS limit as I already had money with both. I was going to put a 75/25 split in favour of TF because of the higher rate, but for some reason didn't. Makes no difference now. I get that demand A/C rates move from time to time but monthly teasers like this are a bit frustrating.

My 3.1% intro rate matures on 23rd Jan and I had originally set it to automatically transfer across to Nordax but then changed it to TF Bank when it was 2.17% so I'm guessing I'll have to change that again now. I'm hoping Raisin will let me pick a different account to automatically transfer to upon maturity but perhaps they only allow you to change this a certain number of times.

Just to flag that when you open an account with Raisin, they don't explain very well, in my opinion, that you have to fund a raisin account that gives you no interest before you request to move it to an interest-bearing deposit account, even a demand deposit.

So you might think that when you request their teaser rate account, which is with Raisin bank, that they will draw the money from your non-raisin account - but they won't (or can't) unlike say, BOI.

And then if your other bank stops you making the transfer of the full amount you wish to transfer in one go, your money is effectively stuck in the non-interst bearing account with Raisin until you fully fund the transfer you requested to the interest bearing deposit account.

So if you wanted to open a €20k deposit account using money in AIB, AIB might limit your transfers to €10k per day, so your first €10k is in limbo until you fund the balance.

This is very annoying and a cause for concern for the first time Raisin user! After transferring the €10k, It says €0 savings, and shows the €10k as a "reserved amount".

It seems to me that the money must be effectively stuck earning nothing until you fund the balance.

EDIT: I see that the request to transfer to the teaser account can be withdrawn using their website (but perhaps not the app), making available the funds that are earning no interest. Hopefully this helps people maximise their teaser rate interest - just be sure to fund it before opening the teaser account.

To be fair to Raisin, this is an AIB issue, as the daily transfer limit of €10k is set by AIB alone. BOI allow €20k per day. Ulster Bank used to allow €50k. In the case of N26 it is self selected, with a hard limit of €100k for SEPA Instant and virtually unlimited for SEPA standard. AIB's low limit appears to be a reflection of the low regard they have for their own system security and integrity.

I'd agree that the mechanics of transfers to/from Raisin investment accounts take a bit of getting used to, but like many banks with home grown IT systems, once you get familiar with their operations it is possible to work around their limitations, or move your business elsewhere.

I had the same problem with PTSB (10k)so had to go in and do a manual paper transfer with a staff member.

Fully agreed with all the above, just noted a difference in the process compared with BOI. To explain, if you open a fixed term deposit account with BOI online, and the money you want to deposit with BOI is in an AIB account, BOI take the details of your AIB account as part of the BOI account opening process. BOI then initiate the request to AIB directly. I presume that technically as part of the BOI account set up process, the new account holder gives instruction for BOI to do this, though it's not necessarily very obvious.

To contrast this with Raisin - Raisin do not initiate the transfer from AIB - the AIB account holder has to place the electronic transfer request with AIB.

Hope this is helpful to anyone thinking of opening an account with Raisin.

P.S. I was successfully able to withdraw monies from my raisin account back to my AIB account, it was not instantaneous but was visible next working day. Wheras I was able to transfer from AIB to Raisin and see it on the Raisin account instantaneously.

Just going through this process now. It is a little disconcerting that the confirmation email has spelling mistakes.

Email received a few hours ago from Raisin

TF Bank AB (publ) has informed us about an upcoming decrease in the variable interest rate of your savings account. As of 28.01.2026, the new interest rate of 1,96 % will apply.

email received yesterday from Raisin: Finally !

New: SEPA instant is live

With SEPA instant, your money doesn’t wait. Funds can now be transferred to your Raisin Account within seconds, so you can invest immediately and secure attractive savings rates without delays. Please note, your bank must also support SEPA instant and maximum daily transfer limits may still apply depending on your bank’s policy.

Has anyone tried closing their Raisin account and then opening a new one to get the 3.10% intro offer?

And again. e-mail from Raisin today:

TF Bank AB (publ) has informed us about an upcoming decrease in the variable interest rate of your savings account. As of 17.02.2026, the new interest rate of 1,86 % will apply.

I’m upset for the €1 I’ve still got with them after the last two short notice decreases…..

Nordax Bank AB publ has informed us about an upcoming decrease in the variable interest rate of your savings account. As of 20.02.2026, the new interest rate of 2,02 % will apply.
e-mail received from Raisin this afternoon.

Disapointing to see so many decreases with instant access rates via Raisin.ie lately.

Nordax rate decreasing again.

Raisin.ie now have 3 providers offering term deposit rates that exceed 5 years. With 2 providers offering 10 year term deposits. Interesting to see expansion into long dated term deposits. Might show Raisin's commitment to the Ireland market.

Some Raisin.ie term deposit rates have increased. Maybe a sign of things to come give the current ECB rate increase market expectations.
