Raisin Products

TF Bank are now paying 2.17%. Higher rate than Banca CF+, Nordax and Resurs. And higher than MoCo. But lower than T212 and certain intro rates like Advanzia.

But TF Bank previously hiked rates and then dropped the rate back to price matching other Raisin.ie leading instant access rates a few weeks later. Maybe they will do the same tactic again.

Hi, Is Raisin.ie considered a safe bank for deposit of up to 100k? Does the German governement guarantee this ?
How difficult is it to set up an account ?

Hi. I replied two and a half years ago in the thread that @ClubMan referenced. In the intervening time I have had quite a number of transactions with Raisin and am very satisfied with the way they conduct themselves. I now have a total in excess of €100k spread across various partner banks (I never allow any one partner bank to exceed €100k) and it doesn't cause me any loss of sleep. I would add that any queries I have had have been dealt with quickly and professionally by Raisin, in English, using a Dublin telephone number. They and are well ahead of other "challenger banks" in this regard (looking at you BUNQ).

You obviously need to do your own research, and satisfy yourself that their products and methodologies and transaction timeframes suit you, but I'd give them a very positive rating.

To answer your specific questions:

Is Raisin.ie considered a safe bank for deposit of up to 100k? and Does the German governement guarantee this ? Raisin Bank is a German Bank regulated by BaFin. The German DGS guarantee's up to €100k. This should cover any money which in resting in your Raisin Transaction account, but of course you won't ordinarily hold money there for any length of time as it earns nothing. As soon as you move your money to "a partner bank" it is the DSG that applies to that bank, based on the country in which it operates, that applies. So if your have money with Rietumu then the Latvian DGS applies, if you are with TF Bank it's the Swedish DGS that applies and so on. For the non Euro area banks, the DGS is the local currency equivalent of €100k, repayable in local currency.
How difficult is it to set up an account ? No worse than any other online bank. Be prepared to jump through a few hoops with ID docs and so on. But well worth the effort.

Hi, I am having problems with raisin at the moment, about 10,000 euro has gone astray and feel that I am being fobbed off about it. Not sure how to proceed, I have emailed them and had replies but nothing satisfactory. Raisin said that I withdrew the money which I did not, I withdrew it from a raisin saving account but reinvested it and never deposited in my Irish Bank account. I'm not sure how to proceed, any help would be appreciated,

It is confusing, as they said that I invested in a bank that I did not invest in and that I withdrew the money from this bank, the money was never deposited in my Irish Bank account, my statements show this, but where has the money gone to. I had this money earmarked just for saving and the only money withdrawn was interest paid. I'm totally perplexed.

my statements show this,
What does the statement show?
What does it say about where the money went when withdrawn from the savings account?
No offence, but you're really not explaining/describing the sequence of events and relevant details very clearly.

What does the statement show?
The statement shows many transactions as I had two separate tranches of savings, one with 20,000 euro which is straightforward and another that started with 10,000 and I added interest accrued from this as it went along and switched to different banks as the interest rates changed. Raisin says that I invested the money in a particular bank that is not on any of my statements and that I withdrew this money from this bank. There is no mention of where the money went after it was withdrawn, it probably went back to my raisin account but was never withdrawn from there to my Irish bank. It is really puzzling. I am sure that I had circa 30,000 euro in various raisin accounts and now I have circa 20,000 euro . On my savings overview, they mention four different banks which I am familiar with but say that I invested in a bank that is not on this savings overview, no wonder that I am perplexed.

I am not crystal clear on the sequence. Please spell it out. Are Raisin saying:
- You moved money into one of the banks on the platform.
- You withdrew this money to your Raisin account.
- You then withdrew this money to your Irish bank account.

And NONE of these transactions are on your cash statement that you can extract on the Raisin portal?

Thank you for your reply.
Please note, all of your funds are accounted in your Raisin account.

Unfortunately, we have no means to calculate total funds coming in and out of your account however you can track your payins and payouts by viewing your Raisin transactional history.
To clarify, on 04/06/2025 you had withdrawn 12,224.84 from your Nordax Bank Demand. You had also received a payout from Izola, amount of 9,999. Both amounts totaled to 22,213.84. With this amount you had opened your Banca Profilo Term (3 Months) FDA_122_684_932_346.
This is the reply that I received from Raisin, there is no mention of Banca PROFILO on any of the statements from Raisin and that is the bank that they say that I withdrew the money. The banks that Raisin say that I have invested in are, Resurs, Izola,Morrow,Nordax and I can check for transactions for these banks but not for Banca Profilo.

So what happened next? What happened to the 3 month term deposit with Banca Profilo Term after it matured in September 2025 or did you reinvest it?

Are you aware that there is a seperate sction in the Rasin app for demand account and term deposits on the Raisin app?

When you click into the "Deposit Accounts" section in the Raisin app - can you see the Banca PROFILO term deposit? / can you see it under "closed accounts"?

There is no mention of banca profilo at all on my transaction account, only noba bank, izola bank, morrow and resurs. according to my raisin statement I opened an account with Btg Pactual on 06/05/2025 and received 113.42 interest on 06/08/25 but this bank does not feature on my raisin account statement either.

First, you need to go through the partner bank statements forensically, and also check them against your records. For closed accounts they should balance to zero. For open accounts they should balance to the amount shown on your account under the partner bank account name.

Second you need to go through the Raisin transaction account. Match all external transactions to your own records and to the statements from your reference account (the account you use to send money to Raisin and receive withdrawals from Raisin. Then match the Raisin transaction account statement to the individual partner bank statements transaction by transaction.

If all of that checks out, then you need to get Raisin to provide you with a full copy of their records (cradle to grave) of the alleged Banca PROFILO term deposit, in particular the details of the transaction/s at termination.

This is either a misunderstanding on your part or a systems failure on Raisin’s. Impossible for anyone here to make a determination which it is without access to you records.

If you continue to draw a blank, I’d suggest you contact Raisin’s Country Manager for Ireland. He is a good guy and is likely to take a personal interest. But make sure you have your case thoroughly investigated and your facts to hand first.
