Heatwave!

I'm very surprised there isn't one in place already.
This is what gets me,
That it's only happening now and it's not because of there not being enough water but rather that they can't treat it fast enough for demand
The first I heard of this restriction was on Saturday and that they were only "considering" and now 4 days later we've a 6 week ban

I'm no scientist or a mathmagician but even I knew back in late April early May from the weather channels I watch that this summer due to what they they were predicting then and the weather phenomenon "El Nino" that this summer and autumn are going to be drier then past years

At the very least 6 to 8 weeks ago they should have been informing the public to conserve water but then again that's IW for you!!

In fairness they did issue appeals to reduce usage that were very widely reported 3 weeks ago, unfortunately usage only increased since.

I rarely use it - as we're a two-shower household and I don't like too much water blasting at me. But the sprog-ettes tell me it's great for washing off the fake-tan (and increasing the electricity bill.)
I sometimes think one (either) of my daughters has died in the shower they take so long in there. I recon they each use as much water as Namibia each year.

I like it, collect a few bob towards the electricity bills during the billing period. Or let it run for the year until Christmas or the summer holidays. It reminds me of the meters in London's bed-sit land decades ago.
