It appears we're fairly set on remaining at the pole position in the electricity price race. This may be a rather harsh winter in terms of electricity and gas price increases.

In the late 90s we had almost the cheapest electricity in the EU, now we have the most expensive at about TWICE the EU average price.

No mention of the billions in tax we're getting from the same companies choosing to base business here.

I'd prefer if it had been commissioned by some rather less partisan clients.This is a fair point, actually.
When I was with SSE Airtricity it was all computer says no until I actually signed up with another supplier and then they came back with a better offer. Second time it couldn't beat the other supplier though. You can always change again at the end of the year. Do the same for insurance, banks, gas, health insurance, everything. You don't owe any of these companies anything.
and they make it very obvious that they feel that they don't owe their customers anything with their higher rates for loyal customers
