@Mortub2005 I felt exactly the same , we too have been in MARP, I'll never forget the stress & upset by it all. Thanks @ saysomething for speaking on behalf of us all, wouldn't have the confidence to do it myself so am most grateful for everyone's advice & comments here.
 
@Banking17 I'm still unconvinced.

Ulster Bank stated that they had reported in full to the Central Bank by the 31st of March and monthly reports since. They stated categorically in response to further questioning from Pearse Doherty that the report submitted on 31st March was their full and final Phase 2 report.

However.

Their behaviour since suggests to me that what they submitted on the 31st of March was their Phase 2 PLAN and not their final report which was due on the 31st September.

Fairly hefty feature on the tracker controversy in the Daily Mail today. They don’t publish it online. It covers a number of different banks I think. Am quoted for Ulster Bank customers.
 
A few other thoughts following Ulster Bank Appearance:

Fine Gael: there appears to almost total lack of engagement by Fine Gael on this issue. Only 2 FG Senators who were semi motivated or informed attended at Committee for 20 min approx. This is typical for appearance of all Banks at Committee. Can we all contact FG reps on Committee in particular, and our local TDs and Minister for Finance to highlight? Also FF and SF should be encouraged to highlight in Dail with Finance Minister- Dail Debate etc?

Likewise Labour have not shown any interest- Sean Sherlock TD not in attendance and did not reply to me previously?

Central Bank; CB need to be contacted by all with personal stories so they have full knowledge of UB shortcomings . Not sure of copying FSO in same context?

Campaign; These have been musings of CB protest etc? Challenge as always is numbers and how many of the potentially 4,000 Plus customers we have on board on this forum- I suspect 10% most?

How do we mobilise in a structured manner in coming weeks to keep pressure on and ensure this does not die for another year?
Ideas for Social Media, Political, Papers, Radio interviews etc??
 
I am going to write to the central bank and tell them all about my story, banking 17 has a good point keep the momentum going otherwise it will be probably late 2018 unless these people come up with some sort of a issue with the coffee machine and if could run on and on till god knows when, we all should put pen to paper more satisfying than ring the tracker joke line

Any ideas how we can mobilise❓ Appears only a tiny minority are fully aware or active on this site. We need a coordinated campaign to maintain pressure on Ulster Bank And CB

I myself only found this sight by accident about a year ago and it was from reading this form got me to write to UB to see if I was effected and was put back on to a tracker. My point is this forum is not as well known as it deserves in my opinion

Agree completely.
An online petition might be easier way for people to get involved.
I am writing to Irish Times at moment, editors choice.
Also, I am heading into sit it out in UB reception. If you want to join me let me know when suits I need to book a day off.

Just registered, found this site by chance, delighted I have.

We were also affected - went on a fixed 9 years ago, advised to do so by a UB employee ( what a spanner I am to listen, have learnt my lesson) complained to the bank. Wasn't offered tracker back, complained again. Fixed again, put back to variable after that. Complained again. Engagged with FSO and fell on deaf ears.

We also received our letter in Jan, have heard nothing since.
Emailed the relevant TDs of the Finance Committee etc.

Would love to mobilse the troops.

BTW - This forum / site is not well know at all IMO. Would it be a good idea to share it on your Social Media accounts and ask for anyone else affected to join the forum ?

Hi all. I have been following the threads on here for a while now and decided to bite the bullet and write my first post. I am one of the many affected by this debacle and am beyond frustrated at the lack of communication from the Ulster Bank. I know it has been said many times, if the shoe was on the other foot, you can be guaranteed that the Bank would not sit back and wait for info, payment etc etc from its customers. After 9 months ( I know it is much longer for some of you ) waiting for some sort of idea how they are going to wriggle their way out of the mess that they have put themselves in, I am now at the end of my tether. I know I'm not on my own in that.
It is time that they were held accountable for the heartache and desperation that they have left their 3500 customers with. I am tired of the limbo and the waiting for a letter giving us some sort of idea of where we stand. I've made numerous calls to the "Helpline" to be met with the usual vague apologies that they can't be more HELPFUL. Waste of time!
We have sent a few emails off, the latest being one to Michael McGrath. It probably won't amount to much, but it feels like we are continuously meeting a brick wall and we want our voices to be heard.
I'd really appreciate if someone could post a link to SaySomething's podcast as I was unable to tune in that day.
