Eunan, with the door open, have a quick look at the deadlock in the centre and the bolts top and bottom and try the handle in different positions to see are they moving and try turning the key to see if any thing is happeing - if not you may need a new lock. A little bit of a clean to the bolts and a spray of WD40 may well do the trick.

I have 16 internal doors that I need to have replaced I have a mate who is a carpenter who will hang them for me I want to pay him the going rate for hanging the doors but he is the type who wont want to take much so I want to know what the average price per door would be so I can aim off to insist he takes the correct amount.

So basically what is the going rate for to have 16 internal doors hung?
