Wife lost job will my tax credits change

Hi.
I work for a semi state company while my wife up to recently worked for a multi national . She has now been made redundant and I dont know if I am entitled to claim extra tax credits because of this.

You can claim the married tax credit and be increased to the married standard rate cut off point but you will only be able to claim this on a week 1 basis (your tax due would be calculated on each week's figures and not your overall annual figures) due to the fact that your wife has already claimed (I assume) single credits for 2012.

You will have to call Revenue on 01-7023011 to request the change.
