No, we definitely will be appealing for the years 2008-2011. We came off a 2 year fixed rate in July 2008 and were not offered back our tracker but went on another fixed rate for those 3 years. Our redress letter today starts from Sept 2011. We got our first letter in January 2017 about being impacted and were given back our tracker rate on February 1st. Compensation is 12%.
Ulster Bank still offered tracker rates up until Sept 2008 and that could be the reason why you’re not deemed eligible. Do you have a copy of the letter you received when your fixed rate expired?
@Timeforaction Where you on a Tracker before you fixed in 2006?If I remember right, there was no offer of a tracker for us when coming off our first fixed rate in July 2008 but will double check all the paperwork in the coming days.
So relieved to finally have some communication from them. Some good news was badly needed. Really hope you all start to receive your letters very soon. Everyone has waited long enough.
Has everyone who can see a balance adjustment on their online mortgage account received their redress letter yet?
My mortgage balance was adjusted last Friday and I was told by the helpline today that it could be another week before i receive my letter.
