Not sure what they were going to do given the deadline is passed.

The deadline was only to pay back more than 6 years. You can still apply to pay back the last 6 years.

I paid back 17 years (up to 2022-2023) at class 2 in March 2024 and these were credited to my NI history online towards the end of 2024.

I've been waiting for a letter requesting a 2024-25 payment but haven't received it yet - are these still being sent out and should I just wait?

Also, I noticed online I can pay 2023-24 but it quotes the class 3 rate rather than class 2. Is this expected?

stanman, I believe the default is to show class 3 until a payment has been registered against the year.
