The story of an Irish bankrupt in Scotland

IB2013

I was wondering what are your opinions on the High Court annulling the couple's bankruptcy and the fact that the advisor wasn't actually trained as a PIP or a registered accountant? I'm interested as I'm aware from clicking on your web address on AAM that you've set up a company in tandem with the Scottish Insolvency Specialist that guided you through the Scottish Bankruptcy process. Are you a trained and registered PIP? Are you a registered accountant - in light of your recent bankruptcy?

Hi epicaricacy, regarding the recent High Court case to which you refer, whilst I have read about it in the papers I do not know all the details of the case and therefore do not have any strong opinions on the matter.

My Scottish adviser, John Walker, is suitably qualified to advise and guide people through both Scottish and UK bankruptcy. As you say, he is a specialist and he has been guiding people through the process since 2008.

I am not a PIP. Not sure what you mean by ‘registered’ but I am a qualified member of an accounting body if that’s what you are asking.
