Safest online ETF broker for 100k

Any recommendations for a good online ETF broker? Unlike the deposit guarantee I realise most investments are only covered up to 25k or somesuch but I have a 100k lump sum that I'd like to just set and forget in an ETF somewhere tried and tested, preferably EU-regulated somewhere which would be unlikely to disappear into the ether with customer funds! I don't like Revolut's customer service record for that amount and have heard eToro and Lightyear mentioned here but it seems eToro don't offer ETFs per se and it's not clear where/how they are regulated. I know nothing at all about Lightyear.
Be grateful for any other suggestions and yes, I am aware of the deemed disposal/ ETF tax implications. Thank you

All regulated brokers are safe - until they're not eg Lehman Brothers, Barings,...

Regulated broker are meant to segregate customer funds and holdings from their ownso that customes' assets are fully protected

I split my investments across DeGIRO and IBKR, who seemed to be two of the best known online brokers at the time. If there was a third I’d probably do it across three. As they’re online having more than one is not a big deal.

IBKR are a listed US company and well respected and with scale. Interactive Investor in Europe are an arm of Aberdeen - a FTSE 100 company. Those probably let you rest easier at night that your DeGiros and Trading 212s - not trying to cast aspersions on either but ownership of some of the fintechs more opaque

I'm not sure what value you can put in this if any, but Google results for the assets under management of some of the firms listed here so far -

Interactive Investor (Aberdeen): €630bn
IBKR: €500bn
Trade Republic: €150bn
DeGIRO: €70bn
Trading212: €30bn
Davy: €25bn
Goodbody: €15bn
Cantor Fitzgerald: €10bn(?)
eToro: €15bn
Lightyear: €1bn

Not sure, but those fees are more akin to traditional Irish brokers (Davy, Goodbody etc) than online brokers so my excitement at a new option has been seriously tempered :-)

Thanks all. Any experience to share on Lightyear? I like the simple interface and the ease of transfers etc, but maybe that's a bad sign as for some reason these things feel like they should be far more sophisticated!

Been with Lightyear for a few years. No problems. Had to interact with Customer service and found them decent to deal with.
