He'd be the bestest pope of all time, many people have said this about him previously, he's a wonderful person, probably a saint and with a jesuital curiousity and intelligence that made him the bestest exorcist of all time, the devil himself expressed relief the the donald was moving out of exorcisms and such like. A great guy...a remarkable guy.

Alan O’Duffy has died aged 76 originally from Clontarf.
A record producer but primarily a sound engineer who worked with the Stones , Paul McCartney , Slade , the Troggs , Small Faces , the Kinks , Manfred Mann , Andrew Lloyd Webber , Des O’Connor amongst others.

RIP George. One of the great shows of it's time, there were some great characters in there.
And I bet you wouldn't have picked out Woody Harrelson as the cast member who would become a global star.
Frasier kinda carried on the baton, there were some cameos in that from Cheers regulars also.
And having seen the recent Frasier revival, which was mostly mediocre - though some good moments with Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney from Only Fools) - probably for the best.
I was sitting in Larry Murphy’s pub in Baggot Street a number of years ago on a quiet Monday night with a number of other regulars when George Wendt walked through the door .
To our everlasting credit we didn’t turn as one and shout “ Norm “
He had been dining in L’ecrivan across the road and Derry Clarke brought him over for a drink , he was very affable and good company.

I know he probably got it everywhere he went but how often would you get a chance like that.
There was an episode of Cheers in which Frasier had his baby in the bar and was telling everyone how worried he was that the baby hadn’t uttered a sound since birth.
In walks Norm with his “Afternoon, everbody”. Quick as a light, the baby goes “NORM!”

Larry Murphy’s was a great place for celebrities .
Pavarotti was visiting the National stud and then dined in L’ecrivan and again was brought over to Larry’s by Derry where the head barman informed him that he was more than welcome but warned him there was no singing allowed
