RIP Thread for Notable People

Gosh, wasn't expecting that - thought he had been recovering reasonably well.

Kind of symbolic that his last full day alive was Easter Sunday.

Just arrived at our hotel in Beijing and got internet, then saw this
What's mad about it is we both watched Conclave on the flight here and the first thing Mrs C said to me after was that they would probably be doing it very shortly, little did we know

He was probably preoccupied with dying and all that.
Is Trump appointing the new guy
Well there is an American cardinal (with Cork roots) in the running

All joking aside, it's weird to think that a man is going to go into that conclave and never return home again, except on a "Papal visit".

I recon it'll be the Italian or the chap from the Philippines.
Given that most of the new Catholics are probably coming from Africa it should probably be one of their lads. That said the money comes from the USA and money talks. Either way it's of only passing interest to me as I don't believe in the supernatural.

And he probably has his flight booked already.....Purple that is .....

Not confirmed yet - but Trump has said he and Melania are "looking forward to being there"

I suspect he had to bite his tongue when he saw Francis got wall to wall media coverage pushing Trump off the front pages

May 1 (Reuters) - Manuel Caceres, the drum-pounding Spanish football superfan known worldwide as "Manolo el del Bombo", died on Thursday at the age of 76, silencing the rhythmic heartbeat that had accompanied Spanish football for over four decades.
With his trademark oversized Basque beret and red number 12 shirt, Caceres became as much a fixture at Spanish matches as the players themselves - a percussive national treasure whose relentless drumming provided La Roja's unofficial soundtrack.

RIP Manolo
