Revolut is down at the moment

something you prefer about bunq over Revolut
The revolut app is a bit of a mess, and it didn't do everything I needed at the time I moved on (they possibly have more of it since they became a bank a few years back, but their app is still a mess).

Bunq handles direct debits very well, the multiple accounts thing helped me get my finances on track back 10+ years ago (like that envelopes budgeting idea, but without the issues of using cash).

The debit was immediate. The matching credit took 10 mins to appear....
Just a presentation issue I suppose.
With the type of database that a modern Bank like Revolut uses as its single source of truth, nothing is finalised until everything is. There will be a single flag that won't be set until all aspects of a transaction are in place and until that happens all changes are temporary. If after a certain length of time the flag isn't set the changes are undone.

Yes but the point is that this is normally instant. Today it isn't. Service is up, but it's limping.

By displaying a message during the Revolut log-on process which was operational for almost all of the outage.
They must have heard you - I see a message now, in the Revolut App...

It is. I still find it confusing.
I also had an issue getting a csv file of credit card account. I can't remember how I resolved it but it might have been a workaround
via the web interface
I had a look at bunq and i don't fancy the way its credit card works which requires you to already have the funds in your bunq account.
With revolut I just transfer enough to pay last months balance and never need to add anything on the fly

If you ever have the time I'd be interested in hearing how it helped. I also don't get the benefit of multiple IBAN.
