Refund of tax relief on pension contributions

Hello

Just wondering how Revenue refunds tax relief you claim on PRSA private pension contributions (my employer has no pension scheme in place)?
Can I specify a cash payment for the amount owed or do they just amend my tax code?

They should just give you a refund. When you provide a lump sum to your pension your provider will provide you with a letter confirming same. You can just forward this to the revenue via the correspondence section when you login in to 'my revenue' and they will arrange your refund and send it to your bank account registered. You want to make sure of course you are within revenue limits etc.
