Order something from USA

thanks for the suggestion guys it's freely available over the counter in CVS or Walgreens the active ingredient is just a bit stronger than what u can get here
Then it would almost certainly be illegal to ship it here without obtaining a license to do so. It is also an offence to attempt to import a medicine that isn't approved for sale here.

If it's an otc medicine that is available here but just in a slightly higher strength then you should be ok. But anything needing a script forget it.

Even OTC medicines must be licensed to be shipped into the EU. Sales of OTC medicines cross-border within the EU are permitted but only where the supplier is licensed to do so.

So if the provider is a pharmacy then would that mean they are licensed?
I know some EU sites I have ordered from have that green pharmacy sign, is that the licence so to speak?

No, they would need to register and receive a dedicated license to send any medication cross-border within the EU. Most pharmacies are unlikely to bother, take a look at the logo (white cross on green striped background) on the bottom left of this site as an example.

Seems like this service could be the right job, avoid all Irish customs, ship to Parcel Pick up in Derry and then will be delivered down South.

You'll still have https://www.myus.com/blog/import-tax-and-duties/ (UK customs / VAT), though you might avoid it for low value packages. UK de minimis is £135 I think. They just advertise no US Sales Tax. Their terms also say they reserve the right to destroy or hand restricted items over to the authorities without refund. The UK have similar controls around the importation of medication, so in the case of the item here you'd need to check those before risking it.
