could anyone help me out / done this themselves
I want to order a medicated / specialised shampoo from the US - problem is the stores it is available in will not ship to Ireland
has anyone done the whole parcel address thing? I have a feeling they won't forward a 'liquid'
its nothing hazardous just something unavailable in Europe right now

All details are here https://addresspal.anpost.ie/how-it-works - where you see "APW123456" you will get a cutomised number that will link the package to you. Its extremely important that this is on the address from the sender

Restriction is on "restricted liquids" as per IATA regulations. Shampoo is not a restricted item, so you'll be fine.

fee is €20 + 5.95 customs fee + vat on the items.

If it something you know you will be using regularly, buy a few as the €20 fee + €5.95 fee are fixed.
 
It may be unavailable in Europe as not approved. If it is that specialised maybe talk to your doctor to find a local solution. ( have had serious scalp issues myself over the years)
 
Get it shipped to a friend of yours in America and get them to ship it to Ireland

or

Contact the manufacturer and ask them if it's available in the EU

What kind of a store is it Available in,
Is it stocked in any of the Ebay stores USA,
I have found in the past some USA Ebay stores will shipp to the UK and not to Ireland,
You should be able to register using your correct address as your primary address then add a uk address like Oohpod address and Oopods uk as shipping address including UK post code,
you can then switch your Primary Irish address and make the Uk address your primary address before ordering,you can switch back to your home address once Item is shipped,
I have done so in the past but the address is not Oohpod and it worked for me in the past,

There is a company and the name escapes me now, I think it's called parcel pick up, the package will go from Derry to Donegal and then they deliver down South with no customs, it's DPD based. I will find the name and post the link my husband has used it before.

Yes, aware of that, but any US business who doesn't ship to the EU due to customs, licensing, or other issues is unlikely to ship to the UK for the same reasons.
 
I went into Ebay My primary was UK address and shipping address was still showing UK Address it was allowing me to buy Item
I came out and changed both to an Irish address (system would not allow me to order,)

Exactly like Amazon, you have the stuff that you can get shipped to Ireland and then you have the stuff that you've got to go to the North and collect.

OP would love to know the website you are using the curiosity is killing us all!
 
thanks for the suggestion guys it's freely available over the counter in CVS or Walgreens the active ingredient is just a bit stronger than what u can get here
I've done a good bit of research on it and it just does not seem to be available over the counter or by prescription in Ireland have asked GP & Pharmacist They have different products here but I don't find them effective
a friend brought it back from hols for me but she's not going back any time soon
it works a treat

Can you link the product? (you can pm if you want)

Lots of people get stuff sent to Ireland from Target so if it's available there you could try get it shipped over.
I have tummy tablets from Target that I use (stronger) than what you get here and I have managed to source them thankfully from a euro site.
