I was told I can open as many accounts as I want but already had the promo rate so reduced to 2.1%. You were required to leave more than €1 in account. €1.01 is perfect.the minimum amount you could leave in was €1000.
I can see no reference to a €1000 minimum balance on their website. Just €1 minimum referenced.minimum amount you could leave in was €1000.
I opened my account with them in Feb 26 and also based on their communications expected the 2.6% rate to endure through to November. Checking online it remained at 2.6% on 1st July and I thought happy days. Me being me I checked agin on 2nd July and lo and behold it had dropped to 2.1%. So on 3rd July I became an Ex-MoCo customer. Overall based on my experience of their communications, processes, systems, support etc I’d rate them a 5/10 and a great fit for crappy PTSB.Also I joined on Jan 21st 2026 and was on the 2.6% up until 1st July 2026 when it dropped to 2.1%. I thought it would drop to 2.1% in November?
It's funny how quickly our attitudes have changed. It's not so long ago that our interest would be applied once a year.My accounts haven't updated since 17th. Will be keeping an even closer eye on this
True! Used to wait for the annual statement in the post without a thought but now want instant online updates. I love seeing daily compounding in action. It's funny how quickly our attitudes have changed. It's not so long ago that our interest would be applied once a year.
