LycaMobile Eur8.99 unlimited 5g for first 50k customers for life

What always put me off Lycamobile was that it was always so difficult to figure out which plan was best for specific needs and what one had to do in order to stay on the relevant plan.

For the deal that you mention, stuff like seems unnecessarily complicated.
Unlimited minutes and SMS are considered as a maximum call duration of 2 hours, with calls and SMS to up to 99 different recipients' maximum throughout the plan.

Unreasonably Large Data Usage: The policy specifies that using a significantly large amount of data, such as around 300GB within a specific period, would be considered excessive. It’s common for service providers to set such limits to prevent a small number of users from monopolizing network resources.

Reduced Speed: If a customer exceeds the defined data usage limit, the service provider may reduce their internet speed to a slower rate, such as 256Kbps. This reduced speed is typically referred to as throttling.
I can't see that the T&C's require a payment every 28 days but it may be a requirement.

Looks like Lidl may have stolen a march and taken a good portion of the low hanging fruit- the deal switchers.
There will always be a large cohort who wouldn't switch even if it was free.
