I wonder when we'll get the benefits of smart gas meters? Mine was switched out for a digital one in the last couple of years, but I've seen no changes. Having said that, I don't recall seeing any estimated bills since then.

Flogas have just offered me a flat rate Smart Meter plan - 29.31c for 24 hour usage. No peak rate or overnight rate. It's not available on their website.

Is there cashback on that? I think the Affinity deals have cashback.

It sounds like you might have been offered the 28% loyalty discount that was available.
On the website it is now only 10%.

Pay attention to your service charge and contract duration, is it 1 or 2 years.

Flogas agent told me the 29/28% loyalty discount is only available over the phone. You will not see it on websites. I made a 'custom' plan on energypal to see how it compared with other offers. I think it is the lowest gas unit rate on the market currently, and it's the cheapest electricity deal I could find for my electricity usage.

When mine was being read recently he noticed the regulator needed replacing which he came and did next day. So maybe there is a reason for manual reading with a checkup.
