I don't know if it is just for Christmas or permanent.
Dunnes are longer giving a €5 off €25 voucher if you spend €75 - €99.99.

Previously you got both a €5 and €10 off voucher.

The €5 is only being given for spends €25 - €49.99.

I might need to split shop!

Just asked Mrs C did we get a €5 off on Tuesday to which she said of course
But when she went into the App just now, the voucher disappeared
Her friend is over for dinner and also checked her phone, same thing, the €5 off voucher disappeared before her eyes

Seem to remember that there is changes to the vouchers at Christmas time so presume it will all reset in the new year

That’s the way to go if you spend €75 per shop.

I just spent another €76 this morning, I used the €10 and €5 off that I had, no problems there. As you say things have changed, I only got a €10 off €50, no €5 voucher this time. Now the xmas shopping is done, it is back to spending €51 per shop in Dunnes.

Yes, they stopped giving the €5 off €25 on a €75 shop on Monday (you just get one €10 off €50. I went straight to the service desk got refunded for €25 worth of groceries and then re bought them a got the voucher. Very quick and efficient. Going forward we will split the shop. In fairness the staff were very pleasant and understanding. They think this is a Christmas thing and will revert to the old way in January. Incidentally I don’t use the app I just use the paper receipts and post them to a family WA group.

"I don't believe it".

Just to clarify the voucher system that Dunnes uses or at least my understanding of the T&C's
Dunnes offer lots of vouchers but the two main ones are the two "threshold" vouchers, a €5 off €25 and a€10 off €50

"Threshold" is the key word here, if you meet the "threshold" you get a voucher, spend €25 to €49.99 you get a €5 off,
€50 to €99.99 you get a €10 off, a €100 to €149.99 you get 2 €10 off's and €150 to €199.99 you get 3 €10 off's etc etc

The extra €5 off voucher you got when you spend €75, €125 or €175 is a "Top up" or "promotional" voucher and is time limited
So Dunnes can add or remove this at any time they wish, without giving us prior notice
You might remember a few years ago when you spent €50 at the weekend you got an extra €5 off without spending the €75

So hopefully in the new year this "top up" voucher returns otherwise it's splitting the shopping into 2 maybe 3 transactions at the till

As someone who target shops I am happy to spread the shekels about.

All supermarkets have good offers and quite often the €5 saving that Dunnes Stores offer can be easily made up when you shop in the other supermarkets.

But then I live close to all of the supermarkets including a Marks & Spencers and can hop about as needs be.

I sometimes have to laugh at our addiction to saving €5.

I lost €700 extra profit on the stock market this week by selling a share a day too early....

dropping it like without any notice is sneaky and just needlessly antagonises customers
Totally agree, it's not like they can't make an announcement on the front page of the App to let us know.
I found the removal of the voucher from the App really annoying and tight

Yes we get a laugh out of it as well, Mrs C refuses to spend more than 50 cent over the voucher amount

Dunnes intend doing away with the vouchers :(
I remember when they were only available certain times of the year. There was a time when you could only get the €5 off €25 in certain Dunnes.

I'll continue to shop there as it's the most convenient store for me. I use the vouchers for skincare too, so it's a decent enough saving for me.

Just finished shopping in Dunnes and the girl at the checkout said the vouchers are back to normal from today.
She indicated that Dunnes got a lot of complaints over the removal and most of it came from the checkout operators who had no knowledge that it had happened but had to deal with a lot of disappointed customers
