Bin company asking what I do with food and garden waste

I am ,as someone else said, delighted that the bin company followed up with the OP as to what was being done with the food waste. Many people where I live throw it out their back door for birds (and rats) to feed on - it’s gross. Makes the place look like a dump!

When you roast a chicken, if you don't need the juice for gravy drain it into a bowl

I let it cool, then skim the fat off which I mix with dried dog food to feed the voracious terrier. The non-fat juices I use for gravy, stews, etc.

People who don't make gravy from the cooking juices when they roast a chicken deserve a slow and agonising death.

I roast two at a time!!! one for the birds and one for gravy lol
