I have begun the application process with the UK Pensions Centre for my UK pension (19 full years of contributions + applying to buy voluntary NI).

I'm an Irish citizen turning 66 years. Worked in both countries. Now living abroad in the EU.
TIA!
I am a year away from retiring and I have enough credits to be able to claim pensions in both countries simple question is this allowed? The Irish gov websire is confusing and only mentions using credits from another country if your falling short of the 520 here. I don't need to do that so can...

Greetings: Grateful for this forum and info here been trying to get this info from a consultant for ages ......(excuse me if this is covered elsewhere here)-
I understand I can claim uk and Irish pensions independently.
I have done the buy back 2006 to 2016 but will effectively have overlap contributed in both Ireland and Uk simultaneously is this allowed?
By a weird quirk of fate I can now contribute voluntarily in Ireland going forward as I have ceased trading there, and pay in uk where I am self employed - again doubling contributions which if I google it is illegal - any help or advice welcome.
