Anyone else not able to initiate a new Private Conversation?

Are Private Messages now deactivated? Wanted to PM someone but don't seem to have the option to PM anyone?

No, they should be working.

Even new users can receive Private Conversations. But they can't respond.

Are you trying to converse with a banned user? The name has a line through it.

OK, I have found the cause of this and it should be fixed now.

xenForo has primary and secondary user groups.

While you were both Frequent Posters, you were also New Users. (Not sure why).

So when I disabled the permission to start new messages for new users, you lost that permission.

Click on user name of the person (in a post) and select Start a conversation.

Ooops sorry didn't read the fact that you have only registered. You need to have a certain amount of posts before you can use PM.

yes but it doesn't say anything about private conversation.
when I click on a name it states 'start conversation' only and I think that is a public posting

No, a conversation is a conversation and it looks like this

Test it with someone at random, I am sure that they won't mind.
