As title, thanks in advance, looking to convert a built in window seat to a desk area with some built in drawers.
south Dublin.Where is your location?
yeah its not too tricky a job but the issue is there is already built in units, actually ill post pics of as is and to be make it easier !I’ve priced a few things like this recently, everybody is so busy that prices are fairly nuts. Any chance there is an Ikea unit that could be worked into the space? A handyman or even DIY is all you’d need then.
Yes im sure, id still need someone to be able to remove the window seat though but if i could get something that fit it would be a big helpDefinitely worth measuring the gap and seeing if there is a pre-built desk that would slot in, even if the table top had to be trimmed slightly at the edges. There are so many varieties these days you could get lucky.
Assuming you have the use of all your limbs, this really is a simple job.remove the window seat
I don’t think anybody was under the illusion that removing the old seat is the hard part of this jobAssuming you have the use of all your limbs, this really is a simple job.
Putting in a desk is even easier!removing the old seat is the hard part
chat gpt!Apologies, unfortunately, I can't help you with your specific question. But, I have a question! - what software did you use to create the image of the desired outcome?
if i can find on that fits the exact space, i want this to look built in.Putting in a desk is even easier!
Take a look at IKEA you can put together the various components yourself.fits the exact space
Still primary for a few years yet, and it wont be battered, its not that kind of house! But appreciate the adviceI imagine this is for a secondary school student; if so its going to get pretty battered over the next 5/6 years.
Be sure and post back in 10 years timeit wont be battered
