how long to fix with BOI ?

Can you apply to several banks at the same time?

I feel a bit cautious about committing to a fixed rate of 3.45% for 3 years with Bank of Ireland, while the variable rate is 3.7% with EBS. I suppose it is the chance that I have to take, as variable rates may go up or down over the next few years.

Can you apply to several banks at the same time?

I have mortgage approval with both EBS and Bank of Ireland. I need a mortgage for >80%. I am considering going with Bank of Ireland on the fixed rate of 3.45% for 3 years. Is this a bad idea?
