    Considering a new Property Investment

I’m guessing the “reason” is the property is not planning compliant as it stands and as a result, I am presuming not possible to get an investment mortgage on it. Hence, why I am seeking advice on other possible ways I could fund this purchase if after due diligence, it seems like a runner.

    Considering a new Property Investment

Its a private treaty sale. I wonder would it be possible/advisable to release some equity by remortgaging my own home? Or could I get a Credit Union loan to cover some of the purchase. The figures seem strong for a rental property.

Key Post I switched 4 times in 6 months

I would avoid going with fixed rates as you run the risk of a breakage fee if there is a change in interbank rates. PTSB were the only bank that wouldn’t offer me approval unless I went fixed. I chanced it and luckily for me there was no change of rates so I was gone to the next bank before...

Am I better to A) break out of the fixed rate today and go onto their high interest variable, wait for the cash back to hit my a/c, then move immediately? or B) don’t wait for cashback to come and move immediately. Can anyone confirm for certain, I will receive the cashback if I move before it...

Can we be absolutely sure of this? Does the EU mortgage directive specifically protect me here and if so where does it say it? If so, I’m happy to move immediately to avoid any breakage fees. I don’t want to risk the cashback after all this work though! Has anyone here moved before the...

    Audi A4 122 or 150 BHP?

I am in the process of buying a 182 Audi A4 and am looking at 2 demo/ex service cars. One of the cars is 2 litre TDI 122 bhp 50th Edition Manual and the other is similar except it is 150 bhp. I prefer the colour and look of the 122 bhp car but am concerned it might lack a bit of spark. The 150...

Thanks for your help. The liklihood of a rate drop is very low so I’ll plough on if they offer the money under the 5 year fixed when it’s highly unlinkely there will be a break fee. Let’s hope they facilitate me breaking out of the fixed rate in a timely fashion when and if I get to that stage...
