Paul Murphy Arrest

Did I not read of a Dublin woman being terrorized by thugs in her home on an ongoing basis?
I did not see several dozen Guards taking the time to protect her.
What I did see on TV was our Tanaiste being unfairly held up on a public road.
I also did see some instances of unsavoury conduct by a minority of twits.
This large Garda examination smells of Garda overkill, they do their credibility no favours.

I really fail to see the benefit in this large use of Garda time.

8 weeks on , most people have moved on.
I am sure our Tanaiste appreciates the damage these Twits have done to their Anti-Water campaign, so now, to do arresting house calls is just plain stupid.

The Guards have failed themselves, in using scarce resources on such an issue.

That's it.
.....................

Just thinking;
Had Mr Murphy been called to Garda station by appointment , we may well have had a (rent-a-mob) in tow.
However I think that the possible (rent a mob) outcome would have been better than the overkill shown by the 7am raids that took place.

In a video clip of a protest outside the Dail yesterday, one of Paul Murphy's supporters again reiterated the "fact" that Bankers had been arrested by appointment, in comparison to how Paul Murphy was arrested. This untruth is just typical of Paul Murphy's campaign. As I stated earlier, Sean Fitzpatricks first arrest was a similar early morning arrest at his home. So no different to how Paul Murphy was treated.
Paul Murphy complamis about the waste of Garda resources, but only last night a team of Gardai had to go to the Tanaiste's family home because a handful of protesters were protesting outside. So who is responsible for this waste of Gardai resources ?
I believe that were Paul Murphy to have been asked to attend at a Garda station by appointment, he would have been accompanied by the "usual suspects" who all seem to have plenty of time on their hands.
And now Ruth Coppinger refers to Gardai as "dogs". The AAA/ Socialist Party are clearly a class act!

While I agree with virtually all of your post, the kerfuffle over "dogs" is just silly, she was clearly not referring to the Garda as dogs and was just using a colloquial saying.

She's not just some woman though, she's the Tanaiste and she was threatened while carrying out her duties.

Purple.
I think I was making a reasonable point in highlighting the disparity in the way citizens are treated.
We can go on and on with examples of (twitism) by (Anti) people and what I see as (twitism) by our authorities.
I believe both sides come out badly from this .
Both sides seem to have an absolutist handle on righteousness.
Opinions seem to end up putting us all into camps.

For me well , 50 Shades of Grey about cover it!
