Youtube alternative

I recently uploaded a video to Youtube for a friend, but the quality on Youtube was very poor. It was in .avi format, and appeared almost perfect when viewed using Windows Media Player on my own PC.

Is there an alternative to Youtube that would allow users to view the file in it's original quality?
