XML Schema

Can anybody tell me if it is possible to test an xml file against an XML Schema file with a browser, e.g. IE6. Can I add a line to the XML datafile to tell it to look at a specific XML Schema file. Any help or pointer would be appreciated.

I thought that for a good while now IE would check that an XML document was well formed and would also check it as valid against the relevant scheme once the schema was referenced at the top of the document? (I can't remember the syntax of the schema reference but am going to have to re-learn this stuff now that I'm back doing some XML related stuff these days ancillary to my real work!). If that doesn't help then perhaps this site does?
