Hi all, my 360 had the dreaded 3 red light syndrome, so i done a little simple job on it a few days ago and it still seems to be working fine, so i'll share it with you. Saves on quite a few euro if you can do it yourself.
First you need to strip the system down to the internals and disconnect the cooling fans, then run the console up for a few minutes until the 3 red lights turn to 2 red lights. Then turn off the console, box it up and leave for a few hours. There's a solder that seemingly remelts to do the job. I dono if it's a long term solution but it's worked for me. Hope you find it useful.
If anyone else has done any DIY repair to there console i'd appreciate their experience. Thanks
