Would an induction hob bought in another EU country work in Ireland?

I can't source the induction hob I want from either Ireland or UK. I have seen them in other European websites. e.g. here.

Will something like that work in Ireland when installed by a registered electrician?

Regarding physical size, are they comparable to ceramic hobs?

Should it fit where there is a ceramic hob already (that was part of a built-in oven and hob)? Somthing like this but about 18 years old?

You can download the installation manual here. Cut-out required is Width: 560 +2 / -0, Depth 490/500 +2 / -0 which is identical to the Bosch hobs on sale here designed to fit 60cm cabinets.

When we moved to the continent many moons ago we were advised not to bring electric items. I've no clue about hobs. But the sockets will be different (obviously a hob doesn't have a socket).

It was something to do with the voltage being different. And TV's were a no no.

I have bought a TV from Spain in recent years and yes plug was different but just used adaptor, works fine other than that. (Couldn't find a white one in the size I wanted here)
