Working from home for UK Company - Irish or UK Tax

I was working for a company in the UK and have returned home. I have taken a new position from them whereby I would be working from home. I found out yesterday that they were just planning to put me on the UK pay roll. They do not have a registered address in Ireland. I checked some online calcualtors which would suggest I would pay more tax in the UK based on my earnings.

Can anyone advise what my rights are? What would be the best option for me?

I am married and my husband has my tax credits too. Also what they don't know is that I am pregnant. What happens to my maternity benefit? I have checked with Social Welfare here and have enough credits to cover me from the 2006 tax year, but happens in 2008 if i go on a UK payroll but resident in Ireland?
