I have a bit of a dream of opening my own betting shop at some stage but would obviously have to get experience before doing so. It would be a big carreer change for me and most likely a big drop in earnings. I have a fairly in-depth knowledge of betting and an equally in-depth knowledge on most sports. I'd like to get views from anyone who works or has worked in a betting office, specifically in supervisor/asst manager/manager roles on their experiences - both good and bad. Also what type of salaries are paid for the various roles in this industry? If anyone has done this, I'd also be interested to know what type of costs are involved with the setup.
