A new job post was created at work (public sector). Funding was provided for a ‘grade 4’ position. There was a part time worker who was entitled to take 1/2 of that position, which they did. However, they got their portion as a ‘grade 5’ because they had been working at that grade all along.
My question is, does the other half of the job now have to be made available at grade 5? We have been told that funding is only available for a grade 4 (for the other half) but my understanding is that job shares have to be the same grade.
