Has anyone been successful in getting a mortgage with a work contract (teaching) thats not permenant (although fulltime for the past couple of years). How much of an impediment is this?
I know a friend of mine was able to secure a mortgage even though she had a temp contract primary teaching. That was last year not sure if it would be as easy now

That is definately possible.I got one for my partner who would be in a similar position. Some banks will look for permanancy but once you have another contract it shouldn't be a problem. Use a broker.
