Recently installed Microsoft Office 2003 at home. Fine, but when I use Ctrl+Alt+4 (for Euro symbol), and the correct symbol appears on the screen, but I then print out the document, the words in and around the Euro symbol (€) are just squiggles and basically a mess. I am now using the word "Euro" instead of the symbol to avoid this mess. I could also use the "insert symbol" presumably. However, does anybody know how I can get the Euro symbol to both appear on screen AND to print out correctly by just using the keyboard? Many thanks.

Maybe your printer doesn't support the € symbol,

if you have an Alt Gr button try pressing that +4 and see if that prints, if it's the printer you could try mailing the manufacturers and see if they have a solution or check out their web site help/FAQ etc.

Does the € symbol print OK from ANY application? Do you have the latest printer drivers and, if applicable, printer firmware, installed? What EXACTLY gets printed where the € symbol should appear? "Squiggles" and "a mess" is not really that descriptive.
