I was looking at getting an annual magazine subscription for Mrs Beag for Woman and Home but after seeing their outrageous markup on the cost here versus the UK it won't be happening. A 12 month subscription in the UK at £23.99 translates to a price of €67.20 in
Ireland? Using the current exchange rate £23.99 converts to €28.40 so they charge an extra €39 for postage/taxes on the Irish punter! I emailed them for an explanation but got none, only that this is the cost in Ireland! The crazy thing is that buying the 12 monthly magazines in any newsagent works out cheaper by about €7!
