Be weary of running any 'Free Registry Cleaners..' especially on Vista Operating Systems. Micorsoft does not provide them - there must be a reason for this. If you have not installed a log of junk on the system you should not need a registry cleaner anyway. Just use the normal uninstall procedure to take off the programs you don't need.
Why do you want to run it anyway, is it because your machine is running slower than what you are used to with XP?
I have Vista Business running on a DELL Xeon 5140 dual 2.33GHz processor on my work PC and its horribly slow for boot-up, tile transfer and network access. You can get minor performance enhancement by plugging in a USB key with get least 256 MB free, and its used for extra RAM.
Since Vienna is already in development I think the message is clear that Vista is a failure that the service pack is not going to be able to rectify. Microsoft just dropped the price of vista recently as its not being bought in high enough volumes.
I wonder why ...?

I have had quite a lot of problems with vista holding onto programes in memory and when my computer slows, I use the task manager and performance monotor to see what slowing thing down. Had problems with firefox (changed to new Beta 3 and Ok now) and had to uninstall original anti virus and change to AVG.
But its running OK at the moment.
