Can anyone recommend someone to fit windows, basically I am replacing the existing PVC windows with wooden sash which i got made up for me but it doesnt include a fitting service.

Would I be best contacting a carpenter or some of the window companies?

I got a quote for 1000 euro to fit 2 windows from a window company which seems pretty expensive to me.

I recently got windows installed by a couple of lads who work on their own - they work in the north Kildare and Dublin area - very happy with the work they did for me - if you want I can PM you their mobile number?

This is the kind of area I work in.

Are all the fittings included or do the fitters have to supply weights and pulleys and all the other bits.

It always makes me nervous when trying to fit things that someone else has measured and made.

The last time I installed something made by somebody else it was like making a square peg fit into a circular hole.

Time consuming and frustrating experience.
