Whilst part of the ecoomy has grown up, it seems to me that the 'public sector' unions are about making sure that that public sector entities continue as a trough from which they can extract as much via their snouts as possible.
Wille Walsh was effectively escorted from the terminal on the basis of bringing change that does not suit the unions.
Now that he has been given the CEO of British Airways does it not highlight a problem in dealing with change?
Hanley suffered the same fate .. and the bizarre way the health services are run increases the 'death' rate from organising hospitals as a 9-5 monday to friday operation instead of 24.7 suggested by Hanley.
I dont know why anybody would take a role in change in the public sector in this country.
